What’s on your plate!

Being productive is the best way to use our time wisely.

In our daily lives, we are very conscious of what we put on our plates. We eat what we enjoy, what benefits our health. This selection is made not only to have a satisfactory meal now but also to be good for our health in the future. Likewise, to make our day productive, we need to pay very close attention to the choices we make. We should be extremely conscious about what’s on our plate. We develop our to-do list as one of the most common & simple techniques for making our days more productive. Just like we are conscious about how we prepare our meals, we need to monitor what we write on our to-do list. We must be conscious about the tasks we do today to lay the foundation for a better future.

This article is about being aware of what we do today so that it lays the foundation for a strong and prosperous future. For those of you who are running your day without any structure, I recommend that you start with the simple act of becoming aware and writing down the things you have to accomplish the following day, i.e. a to-do list.

Our past, present, and future are all intertwined. The lessons of the past can be used to help us improve our present, and this allows us to ensure that the future will be good. Although we cannot alter our past, we can direct the present. This makes it very crucial for us to be mindful of what we do today. What we do today will determine who we are tomorrow. By focusing on our present, we improve our future as well, as our present is nothing but a progression towards the future. When we become better at making our present fruitful, by default our future improves as well.  It’s important to remember this fact with clarity so that we can take steps toward a brighter future.

By being mindful of what’s on our plate, we can focus on improving tasks & activities that lead to our success. To-do list preparation should include thinking about what all activities can have a profound effect on future outcomes. Look at your to-do list and thoughtfully consider what can be accomplished today that will have a profound effect on tomorrow. For instance, by exercising for 30 minutes each day, you’re helping yourself to maintain a healthy lifestyle. As you look at your daily tasks, think about what’s having an impact on your future. Check whether the activities that you do will flourish you or perish you. Spending 10 to 15 minutes on the activity of reflecting & analyzing your daily tasks could prove extremely useful for making your days more productive. In other words, you would only need to invest approximately 1% of 24 hours of valuable time that you get each day to make your life better, and I believe you can spare 1% of your day to make your life better.

Look at what’s on your plate, and make an impact that seals your fate.

All the best!
